At what age do you drink your first glass of alcohol? How much does a French person consume every year? There fifth edition of Dry January was launched in France at the beginning of January. This action aims to raise awareness of alcohol consumption and our own consumption by setting a challenge that, why not, we can extend to the people around us: not to drink a drop for the whole month of January, after the end of the month of January, a year marked by excesses.

“The challenge is to raise awareness of the level of consumption” of each individual’s alcohol in order to reduce it in the long term, explained Mickael Naassila, the president of the French Society of Alcoholology, in an interview with World in January 2023.
