A fourth resident of the Pleine-Fougères nursing home (Ille-et-Vilaine) died, probably as a result of food poisoning that occurred at the end of October, the Saint prosecutor told Agence France-Presse (AFP). -Malo, Fabrice Tremel, Sunday November 12th evening.

On Friday evening, the judge announced the opening of an investigation into negligent homicide and negligent bodily harm following the deaths of three residents of this facility near Mont-Saint-Michel.

In a press release he mentioned a possible one “Food Poisoning” On the night of October 30th to 31st, forty residents and one employee were affected.

According to the daily newspaper Western Francethe management of the Les Marais residence confirmed this “Food origin” the pathology was “now proven”.

The company contacted by AFP has not yet responded. The prosecutor did not respond to a question about the cause of death.

The investigation was entrusted to the Saint-Malo Research Brigade, the Central Office for Combating Attacks on the Environment and Public Health and the National Veterinary and Phytosanitary Investigation Brigade.
