New visit of a delegation of French healthcare companies to Ukraine as part of a mission to rebuild the Ukrainian healthcare system from October 16 to 20.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine forced the Ukrainian Ministry of Health to revise current and future medical strategy. The French Health Federation continues to support its commitment to this dynamic privileged partner in the reconstruction and modernization of the Ukrainian healthcare system. This collaboration presents numerous opportunities for French medical infrastructure companies, some of which have already been exploited: Installation and reconstruction of hospitals, supply of X-ray, mammography and ultrasound machines, advice on European integration, etc.
A mission to Ukraine in the presence of the French Embassy, ministerial representatives and member companies of the French Health Association
On October 27, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine, Gaël Veyssière, met with Sergii Marchenko, in the presence of Julien Delpech, French Health Officer for Ukraine, and Jean-Baptiste Brasseur, Director of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Finance Minister of Ukraine together with the French Embassy Economic Center. The two intergovernmental agreements in the field of health were therefore discussed at this meeting.
The delegation French also had the pleasure of being received by the French ambassador in his residence, in the presence of other Ukrainian guests. Among these companies are Ellipse Projects , DMS imaging, Invivox and Ginger International were able to use their expertise and Propose appropriate responses to the demands and health needs expressed by the Ukrainian authorities.
There French health brand supported by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairsmobilized his network and resources since the beginning of the war to support Ukraine. This joint commitment will therefore be intensified and is also part of the continuity of the efforts that have already been made since participation the health round table in December 2022which then led to the signing of two MoUs between the French Health Association and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health in June.
This new mission in Ukraine has therefore strengthened the already existing ties with the Ukrainian authorities. especially the Minister of Health Victor Liashko.
Several ongoing projects to support the French Health Association in rebuilding the healthcare system in Ukraine
The highlights of this mission were as follows:
- The business delegation was received by the Ministry of Health, who expressed his new needs. French Healthcare communicates the ministry’s needs to its members in order to give French companies the opportunity to position themselves.
- Two proposals for intergovernmental agreements were submitted by the Embassy’s Economic Serviceintended for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance.
- The teams from the ministry andEllipse Projects have surrendered at Borodyanka Hospital to complete the reconstruction work plan planned since then the signing of the MoUs of June 2022. They were accompanied in advance by the hospital management the signing of the contract with the French hospital infrastructure company.
- Start froma series of podcastshosted by Marianne Lahanawhich will be highlighted soon the activities of the members of the French Health Association in Ukraine within the framework of the various reconstruction projects at work.
- The Ginger International company is strengthening its relations with its experts in Ukraine within the framework of a one-year contract with the European Union in favor ofImproving the drug supply system in Ukraine and its consistency with the European system.
