A total of 366 kg of cocaine was intercepted in the parking lot of a beach in Gosier and six men were arrested and taken into police custody, the Pointe-à-Pitre public prosecutor’s office announced on Monday, January 8.

Checks will continue, he added.
Police custody, which in such cases can last up to 96 hours, “have been extended and are still in progress”according to MMe Calbo. The judicial investigation was entrusted to Ofast, the anti-drug office, subordinate to the prosecutor’s office of the specialized interregional jurisdiction (Jirs) of Fort-de-France, the prosecutor’s press release said.
