The administrative investigation launched after the death near Nantes of a schoolboy who fell ill after being vaccinated against the papilloma virus and then fell has found no evidence of this “dysfunction”, announced the Regional Health Agency (ARS) on Friday, November 24th.

At the end of October, a 5-year-old studente from the College Saint-Dominique in Saint-Herblain (Loire-Atlantique), had done one “serious fall”, which caused head trauma fifteen minutes after vaccination. The teenager was taken to Nantes University Hospital and died from his injuries a few days later.

“The investigation did not reveal any dysfunctions in the organization of the vaccination campaign, in the preparation of the Federal Prevention Screening Center (CFPD 44), (…) or about the distribution and provision of vaccines that would have been the cause of the accident that led to the death of the little boy.”writes the ARS des Pays de la Loire in a press release.

“However, details of the conditions for seeking help and caring for the boy following his fall still need to be further investigated.”she continues, announcing that her Director General will instruct the General Inspectorate of Social Services on this point.

Nothing allows the vaccine to be contaminated, according to the prosecution

“In view of the conclusions of the administrative fact-finding mission, the vaccination campaign in the Pays de la Loire can continue.”adds the ARS.

The Nantes public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into manslaughter. The autopsy confirmed this “The young man’s death was the result of a traumatic brain injury.”revealed the prosecutor of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul. “Today we have no evidence that the vaccine product itself is the cause of death”he added.

The vaccination campaign was suspended in Loire-Atlantique on Friday October 20, the eve of the school holidays. It resumed at the start of the school year, on November 6th.
